The Mary Lockett Hall is located adjacent to Christ Church Claremont on the corner of the Stirling Highway and Queenslea Drive. It was renovated in the last few years and is within minutes of Claremont Railway Station. The new facilities include air-conditioning and a purpose built kitchen to cater for wedding receptions, birthday parties or meetings. It gets 10 out of 10 from Encore Kids Parties!
Roll-out shade blinds cover the Parvis (the paved area between the hall and the church). This is accessible through large concertina glass doors on the northern side with a servery from the kitchen area making it an ideal venue for dining and outside entertaining.
• The Hall measures 15m x 7m with a level carpeted floor
• Seating capacity is for 90 people at tables
Kitchen facilities include a dishwasher, crockery and cutlery for up to 150 people, a 4-burner cook top with large oven and another regular oven for warming, microwave oven, two large refrigerators and small pantry. A servery opens directly to the main hall.
Male and female toilets are located within the hall area including facilities for disabled guests.
The Mary Lockett Hall is a SMOKE FREE venue.
HIRE COSTS & MINIMUM DONATIONS - COMMERCIAL GROUPS / SOCIAL GROUPS:
All costs include GST.
All bookings for the Mary Lockett Hall carry a negotiated refundable bond of $500.00 [conditions apply]
$100 caretaker’s fee applies after 10pm weeknights and after 11pm weekend nights. Please note that the hall must be vacated by 11pm weeknights and 12am on the weekend.
Hire costs include use of tea and coffee making facilities, use of cutlery and crockery, insurance (social functions only) and use of tables and chairs. Commercial Groups need to provide their own insurance.
Additional costs include:
Use of ovens $100
Liquor licence $50
Set up of tables and chairs $50 per hour
Cleaning $50 per hour
Large groups (over 90 people) may incur additional costs
COMMUNITY GROUPS (Not for profit organisations) and PARISHIONERS may apply for a discount. This is at the discretion of the Parish.
